People are always asking me how do you get protein while living a plant based life? How are you living a high protein life with out consuming animal based products. The truth is we can get all the protein we need from a plant based diet, we just need to be a little more creative about it!
One of the creative ways I get protein is with My Tofu Alfredo sauce! Who would have thought that a pasta sauce could have 12 grams of protein per serving!
- 1.5 lbs soft tofu
- 1/2 cup vegan beef broth (the bulk barn has vegan beef broth tablets that I love!).
- 2 tsps fresh basil
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
- 4 tbsp vegan butter
- Literally throw all the ingredients into a blender, blend until smooth and store in your fridge to use as a high protein alfredo sauce. Keeps for a week!
