Tofu and Chocolate! You may not think they go together but they definitely do! I have a massive sweat tooth. I also need to follow a high protein diet because of my lifestyle, and activity level. As someone who is completely plant based I find myself looking for more treats that can give me protein!
The truth is it is EASY to get your protein in with a plant based diet. If we eat the foods the earth provides for us, we are getting so many important nutrients that there really are no down sides.
When it comes to plant based living, I track my food daily and I have never gone under my protein minimums, I just have to be a little more aware of what I am going to eat. This recipe is one of the ways I up my protein!
This is an epically easy , quick and delicious recipe that is completely plant based, high protein and filled with chocolatey goodness. My 5 minute pudding is a go to for me!
- 150 grams soft or silk tofu
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate cocoa powder
- 3 scoops vegan chocolate protein powder
- 3/4 cup ripple pea milk (chocolate preferred).
- 1/2 cup sugar (optional).
- 3 tbsp. almond butter.
This is a super simple recipe. Throw everything into the blender and blend on high for 1 minute, or until silky smooth!
I added the almond butter to this recipe because it provides the fat that vegan protein powders are missing. It helps keep it creamy, not chocolatey! You can also use vegan nutella or peanut butter! We just need the fat!
